| The purpose of this award is to equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence to carry out Horticultural duties and tasks safety. On completion of this programme learners should be able to understand the safety hazards associated with the use of a range of the horticultural equipment, demonstrating PPE requirements for a range of tasks. Learners will be capable of appropriate recording of hazards and risks while implementing appropriate procedure needed to prevent damage to the environment. Learners will operate a range tools and equipment correctly including lawn mowers, strimmers, hedge trimmers, tractors and pruning equipment. | |
