It is foundation skills based course that allows learners to gather information and demonstrate their understanding around plant identification, this will enable participants gain the maximum benefit from the programme One completion learners should be capable of understanding terminology associated when identifying plants and be able to describe the origin and history of ornamental plants

Access to programmes leading to level 3 is open. A learner seeking entry to a programme leading to awards at level 3 does not need a previous formal qualification. Some learners may have achieved certification at Level 2.
